TEAM EPO and the ROAD ahead

OK it has been a long hiatus of sorts since the creation of the other blogs and my experience with cycling under Team Cyclospore but here;s a new outfit TEAM EPO which has been the staging grouping for our foray into Ironman Cebu 70.3 in 2014.

On thing lead to another and call it peer pressure, derring do and male maschimo shitz or just being Hungry and Foolish  enuf to embark on something that would challenge us, and me personally. It has been said that if somethg doesnt challenge us, it doesnt change us. Wel, it's time for a paradign shift in just letting things happen, and take the proverbial bull by its horns and make things happen! Life is about getting out there and doing what u want to do, without fear, regret, and negativity. The sport of triathlon has given me that added boost in the past two years of local simple races, and it is as opportune time to up the ante in the company of like minded equally motivated souls and get out there and push ourselves to the next limit and in the journey there, discover more about ourselves, our frailties, insecurities, and learn to overcome them and come out all the stronger and better for it.

I suppose any endurance sport undertaking would of itself run parallel to how we can also live life and better ourselves by seeking to align ourselves with a grounded belief that we can do better, taking action to train and to see that conviction manifest itself in completing that race, that task; win that prize which u have gainfully worked hard and fought for. Indeed in sports like Triathlons where it's really all about oneself - you do reap what you sow and its immediately evident that how well and hard you train determines how well you race. there is no adversary here but your own self. That at once makes it so engaging, powerful and life affirming.

So follow this blog for a sense of how goals are set...how belief  can set things in motion, how the correct mindset and attitude can lead us up the road with all our senses piqued, our body fresh and raring to take on the miles ahead; having lived and trained the part, and experiencing life to its fullest potential.

  1. Well written. Thank you for the guildance and inspiration. I remember, first time, i can't even run 200 m without panting and needing to stop. Now I shall try my first full marathon in another 3 months time. I can't be Ironman yet but I like to watch Ironman movies.
